6th day but can't get moving

  • 6th day but can't get moving

    Okay, now I am on my sixth day. I have stuck to this completely, even managed to get through the yucky induction flew. Still I want to get motivated to get outside and walk or do something. Today I had plans to go to the park with my son after work, still I came home and fixed dinner. Now I am sitting here feeling guilty because I did not go.

    Any tips on how to get over this laziness lump?

    Sometimes I will MAKE myself get chaged into my workout clothing. Then I tell myself I'll just do 5 minutes. Usually, once 5 minutes are up, I'm raring to do some more.

    Find something you LIKE to do. Or, get an "accountability partner". Recruit someone to do it with you, so once you've committed yourself and they are expecting you, you'll have to go.

      Don't feel bd I am the same way. I do the exact same thing. I do have more energy but so far its not enough to write home about but enough that I can tell. Hopefully I can get ovtivated Just thing. The more exercise and the more you do the more you'll lose and the more you can eat later

        What got me started was to join the 6 week exercise challenge!

        By committing to do so many sessions a week of some sort of exercise (your choice) I found that needing to post each day kept me at it till it became a habit.

        Initially the 'exercise' can be something like walking up the stairs at work instead of using the lift, or parking that little bit further away from the supermarket entrance to make you move that body a little more than usual, or doing the vacuum cleaning energetically to music etc. Anything that you can fit into your daily life that makes you move more than you are used to.

        It amazed me how gradually I was not only ABLE to walk further but I actually started to ENJOY it!!

        Now I have even joined a gym and go 3 times a week to lift weights and use the cardio equipment and group classes in addition to walking lots!
