  • Well, well! I can't believe it!

I am officially 1/2 way to my goal. I have lost 15 pounds and have 15 to go (actually I am adding ten on to that after I reach it).

I can't believe it! Some annoying things though: 15 pounds doesn't look like it is gone. You can't really SEE it. I don't know if it is because of what I had to loose or what??? AND my inches aren't shrinking as much around my middle. My legs and arms are (and face) but NOT THE FREAKING BABY GUT!!!!!

Congratulations, that is fantastic! Hopefully your other 15 will leave as quickly as these did. Oh, and when you are in the grocery pick up 3 -5lb. bag of potatoes and carry them around the store with you. It's a nice picker upper to see and feel what you have already shed from your body.

Re: Well, well! I can't believe it!

            Thanks!

I have high doubts that the last half comes off like the first. In fact, it took a LONG time to loose the last 5 pounds of that 15. I did start a good 30 minute cardio routine EVERY day that I think helped with the 5.

Today my co-worker says "I brought a sheet cake and banana bread".

            I PRAY for STRENGTH!!!!!

You said that you can't see your weight loss-- maybe this is because you see yourself every day! Someone in another forum gave an idea to take pictures every week of yourself and you can really see a difference in the pictures from week to week. Maybe you should try that, I bet if you could see where you came from you would notice more of your loss.

first of all, congratulations! ^_^ being half-way is great, good luck with the 15lbs.. try adding more workouts, or increasing the time from 30 minutes to 45mins to begin with.

and yep, APanthesilia's idea would help you see the difference.. its difficult for us to see it because we see our reflection daily and wouldn't notice most of things other people would notice, like weight.

                          Good luck

Well done on reaching your half way mark!! Awesome!

Don't worry about not "seeing" the loss... this happened to me too, for the first lbs. And as for others seeing my losses, it took a 20 lb weight loss before anyone really noticed, and then suddenly everyone did.
The weight around your middle will go too eventually. Unfortunately, we lose unevenly, and often lose faster in places where we don't care too much.

Be patient with your second half. As we near goal, the losses slow down. This is natural, though infuriating. The last few lbs can try the patience of a saint. But perseverance will make you the winner!
