How much weight do you typically lose in the first week? I started 6 days ago on Saturday and lost 2 lbs in the first 2 days. The last 4 days I have been up and down one pound depending on when I weigh, but don't seem to be losing anymore weight. I have been very strict in my eating - 3 meals/day, avg of 12-20 grams of carbs a day, ketones have been in the mod-high range all week. I have been doing my kids XBOX Dance Dance Revolution every night for the last few nights, but can't imagine that building any muscle mass (just cardio). Any thoughts?

Re: First week weight loss?
Dont worry about one week's results as our losses are seldom 'linear' but seem to happen in fits and starts - a few days losing regularly then some with no loss or even a gain!
Wait till the 14 days are over then weigh and look up your metabolic resistance to weightloss in the chart in DANDR to see how you did.
BTW it looks as if you are on your way with your eating to plan and exercising - well done
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: First week weight loss?
it depends on all the stuff they mentioned but it should be around 5-10% of what you want to lose, yours is 30 pounds so 1.5-3 pounds would be average.... looks like you're there already!
