  • Effect on Mental Performance during induction.

I've just restarted Atkins like the third time over the last year or so.My problem has always been that I'm a student and I find it hard to concentrate on my studies somehow due to lack of probably any glycogen for my brain . Does it get better and the foggy brain effect goes away? the maximum no of days I've been on Atkins is 7 and I still have similar but diminished symptoms of lack of mental power even then.

Also, how does Atkins effect your muscle growth? is it possible to gain any muscle mass during Atkins? as I like to go to gym and don't want to lose my muscle mass (took me alot of effort to get what I have right now!).

Yes, it will clear up, it's a part of induction flu imo. Youe energy level will soar and your clarity will increase! I promise! It's amazing! Yes, you build muscle on atkins. you even uncover them! Atkins burns fat not muscle and with the protein in take there's no way to go but up as far as muscle tone is concerned. You'll do great!!

Atkins is by fat the best diet to not lose muscle while dieting unlike the low fat ones.

      What I know:
      1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.
