  • Fell off the wagon, restart today

So... i had to travel on thursday and friday, I don't really know what happened I totally lost control. I started off well but i ended up completely out of control. However, instead of being out of control for the next few days/weeks as i would in th past, I am right back on today. I know that i need to control my circumstances in order to control what i eat, so luckily I don't have to travel again any time soon... I want this weight off of me so badly and i am so frustrated that i didn't stick to plan while i was gone. I know i will feel better in the next couple of days..Thanks for listening!

Michele, just get back on plan and do what works for you. We all have slips, but it is about getting back up as quickly as you can. Good Luck.

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

Hey michelle.....I did the same thing, and blue belt is so right just get back on... I want to start a group of us on induction that talk everyday so we have that boost of support that I know I need...Last night was horrible and I had no intentions of cheating it just ended up happening...Oh and I so feel it now! So how are you doing today? Rememeber to stay on track now and you'll be fine...from reading through the posts it seems we all do it and there is a certain point when we obtain the ability to not cheat...it just takes the time and diligence...

Well done both of you for not letting one (or more!) slips lead to an allout carb-fest

Failure is not in falling but in not getting back up after a fall
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

If your life is very busy you might want to take any slow days you have to prepare for the rest of the week.

This worked for me in the past.

For example on the weekends I buy fresh ready made salad packs, sugar free and carb free dressings, the amount of veggies I need, and beef, chicken, fish, or whatever.

I grill about 10 chicken breasts, a bunch of steak strips, up and store them in the fridge in storage bags.

All week long whenever I'm short on time or for lunches I can always cut up a chcken breast or steak strip and have it over some mixed salad with dressing and of course yummy water. It does the trick every time.

I take either steak or chicken breast salads to work, and when I heat it up everyone in my area goes .. omg that smells so good.

Once your in full ketosis your appetite goes down a bit so it is enough to satisfy.

THen you can also be creative for emergencies. Tips I've seen on these boards.

I got stuck at work late and my bood sugar dropped and i was starving. I drank a bunch of water, and went to Burger King and got a double whopper "bunless" which they serve in a little plastic bowl. That totally saved me and I saw it here. Another time I forgot to pack lunch, there is a burrito place down the street I went and got a jumbo carne asada burrito with lettuce and salsa only, then unwrapped that tortilla and dug in with a fork .. omg . it was soo good.

Each one was a little junky and not so healthy but I was able to stick to it.

It takes practice, hearing good ideas from others, and being creative and preparing wherever you can.

Honestly on days 1 and 2 I was going .. OMG what am I gonna eat .. what will I do ? I can't think of anything besides boiled eggs and tuna ! Luckily I found this board and got some ideas that saved me a few times so far.

Every morning I get up and look at myself and I can already see the diffrence, feel it in my clothes, and I think to myself OK one day at a time . focus ... focus ...

Drink lots and lots of water, it makes it that much more easier
