  • Is it my imagination...

or... does there seem to be a trend at regular grocery stores to not stock low carb items? Having trouble finding the low carb ketchup and salad dressing now, which wasn't an issue when I tried Atkins a few years ago.

Me too, I haven't seen anything low carb. Where do you shop? I've tried Kroger, Meijer, WalMart and Biggs.

On a postive note, that means everything I eat, I cooked, which is really good for me.

I do wish I could find some low carb/high fat protein shakes. Maybe try online, I've heard lots of people find good stuff on the internet.

I shop at Tom Thumb, which I think is a regional chain. I'm going to also have a look at super Walmart and Albertson's. I have great luck in finding things on the internet as well (JUST ordered some flax seed meal) but, shopping that way very much is generally more costly. I was just surprised that my regular store, which usually has anything I need (even unusual things) is letting me down in the low carb department when they used to come though before.

The only Kroger close to me closed a little while back.. figures! heh

I can't find low carb things in stores because now in Canada you can't label it as low-carb so I order what I need (mostly just ketchup) on-line.

You're better off without the low carb convenience foods anyway. They are full of preservatives and chemicals and who knows what. You're better off eating a whole, minimally processed food.

There are recipes to make your own ketchup and bbq sauce from tomatoe sauce/paste that taste much better anyway. Salad dressings that you make from mayonnaise, sour cream and fresh or dried herbs taste better as well.

IT is hard in Missouri to find low- carb they pulled it from the shelves and there answers were it was just a fad and wasnt selling now...TRY sugar-free items ALOT of them are no or low carbs but then you got to watch the spenda count.

The diabetic section of grocers (usually in the diet/lo cal area) can sometimes be a good source, depending on the store.
