  • Finished Induction - 2 lbs lost????

Help! I am 2 weeks into induction today and I weighed myself this morning – only 2 lbs. lost! I am completely floored. In the past, I have easily lost 10 lbs. I have followed this to the letter – no cheats, at all. What is going on? Any ideas or suggestions?

Check your slim jims, the one I used to eat had loads of sugar.

*slim jims are a big no. It is almost impossible to find the nutritional info o their site so emaild themfor it and will post it as soon as its receive.

*crab cakes more thn likely hae breading of some sort in them

            Thankyou for your kind words.

Crab cakes are usually imitation crab, check the contents, i'm very sure they have fillers and sugars in

Slim jims are full of sugar

check the contents on the sausage also, can have fillers and sugars

you need to drink your water plain, nothing in it, after youve drank the daily amount, you can add something but you must drink your needed amount free of anything

Your best bet on getting the best results in this "diet" is to eat only fresh whole foods, make your own sausage and burgers and freeze them, have legal snacks of chicken wings instead of slim jims.

Crab cakes I made from scratch – using fresh crab meat and eggs only. I threw the Slim Jims out after reading the post. The Jimmy Dean sausage has 1 carb per serving… should I get rid of that too? Should I start over on the induction again- beginning today?

Also processed meats typically contain a great deal of sodium. Sodium may cause water retention. The scale won't distinguish water pounds from fat pounds.

Re: Finished Induction - 2 lbs lost????

Just start to do it "by the book" and things will balance itself out.

I see several issues with your meny. The sausage has corn syrup in it which you should avoid. The salat at Subway is very carby. Did you count your carbs when you ate this meny? And then there is the issues already mentioned.

I think I would continue induction if I were you and just try to stick to the things you know are good (and read all labels carefully)

I am sitting at my desk almost in tears because I feel like I wasted 2 weeks of hard work and effort.

Don't feel as if you have wasted two weeks. Look at it as a learning experience and move forward. I agree with what others have posted...don't eat the processed foods (Slim Jims, sausages, Subway, etc) and watch your sweetener intake. I am convinced that the reason I am having good success on Atkins is because I have cut out almost all processed food (minus some bacon now and then) and will only eat food that I prepare (unless I am dining out).

Also, have you read the book?
