  • How MUCH food can I eat?

    I'm not eating carbs.. ( a few veggies that are allowed)... but I was just wondering exactly how much food I am allowed to eat? I've been eating kind of a lot.

    You should be eating 3 cups of listed vegetables daily. Either 2 cups from the "salad" list and 1 cup from the "other" list OR 3 cups from the "salad" list.

    You should eat only the amount of food to satisfy your hunger and not stuff you like a Thanksgiving turkey.

    You should be drinking at the very least 64 fluid ounces of water daily.

    You should be counting the carbs of everything you eat and drink. A very common mistake people make is that they think foods like cheese, eggs and heavy cream do not contain carbohydrates, so they neglect to count them.

    There are other things you should be doing, and you can look them up in Chapter 11 of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition or you can read them in the FAQ section of the board (the tab is in the site navigation bar at the top to the page.)

      I am a newbie but have found that using the fitday.com is the only way to go! It is free and gives you an accurate idea of what is going on. Give it a try!

        As long as you stay with the 20 carbs and the acceptable food list you're fine.
        You have to eat to lose weight, otherwise you stall from starvation mode.
