I probably had some days in there where I skimmed the line but it was never white bread, pasta, or any forbidden things. In most cases it was the caffeine, artificial sweetners where I edged it.
I think on my first week as I was making the kids lunches I had a bit of peanut butter after making the last sandwich I always go after the bit left on the spoon or knife
So final count after 14 days is 18 Lbs I triple checked my weight this morning and I am now at 262!!
I'm going onto rung 1 because I really NEED the veggies but I will be kind of skimming the line between induction and rung 1 keeping it as low as possible.
One thing I noticed is you WILL stall if you forget water or veggies or even eat too little. I think towards the end I got greedy and thought .. hmm well if I'm not hungry why eat ... this led to dehydration and actually stalled me and I went UP ! Once I noticed my fault I started to drink water again, and get food in me at regular intervals it went back down and started to lose again.
Yesterday was my last day of induction and I reflected on a few things.
1. I can't eat nearly as much as I did at the beginning. I feel stuffed at about 50% of what I was eating at the beginning.
2. If I keep drinking water and eating at least every few hours I feel fine, if I go more than 4-5 hours without food/water I get lethargic and become lazy and don't want to do anything.
3. I walked to the bank yesterday and was NEVER out of breath. Normally I am breathing heavy and sweating just going 2 blocks down to the bank.
4. My ankles are no longer swolen I can see my actual ankle bones
5. My feet are healing, I was getting foot infections like athletes foot on crack which I know could lead to diabetic foot disease because I am pre-diabetic. They have almost completely healed up in 2 weeks. Also I have regained visable vascularity and they are not swolen looking anymore.
6. I can focus for longer periods of time at work.
7. I have a belt I wear with my work clothes, I am now on the LAST hole in the belt since my waist has gone down.
Lots of good stuff happens when your blood sugar isnt spiked from eating bad foods all day long !!!
Anyone on Induction whether you need to lose 20lbs or 200lbs stick to it, PLAN PLAN PLAN so you don't stray, drink TONS of Water, take your vitamins and DO NOT forget you need Veggies !!!
Today I was so happy when I weighed in my wife was with me, it felt good to show her it is working.
Now to keep going, sustain, and keep things moving will be fun.
