  • Getting back on track after "clouds" disaster

I decided with the everyone's help to move on to OWL on day 14. Then on day 15 I made the clouds recipe--at night. I read the warnings but decided I deserved a sweet treat. I ate the whole amount I made (1.5 packages of cream cheese and a stick of butter plus a lot of splenda) and could have eatten way more ! They were definitely a trigger for me. I had to fight so hard not to just say -it after that. I felt so awful afterwards and I keep craving them. The next day my Ketastrips read Negative. I know most people say don't bother with the stips, they're not accurate. But seeing the pink everyday made me feel like I was doing something right. I'm back on track now and the strips read positive today . I've been eating induction style for the past two days, after the clouds incident. My question is should I continue on with a new induction or continue on to OWL as I had planned. Just looking to see what you all do after breaking your eating plan.

I have managed not to cheat this time around (patting self on back) but the last time, I would go straight back on induction long enough to achieve that "I'm not hungry" feeling. Don't know if that's the official procedure, but it worked for me.

I would go back onto owl now, as you are back on track and in fat losing mode!

Now that you're back in ketosis, I'd move onward to OWL.

Clouds are evil! They have been the downfall of many, many people here. A while back, clouds were something almost everyone on Induction used to make and eat because they "needed" something sweet or thought they "deserved" a treat. And like you, the clouds proved to be a major trigger. Then the clouds fad faded away.

Pat yourself on the back, because now you have found a major trigger for you and you will be able to avoid it in the future.

As everyone said, pick up where you left off in OWL. There's no need to "do Induction over again". Since you completed your 14 days, you know what your degree of metabolic resistance is from the charts in the book. Look forward to OWL.

Thanks for the feedback and helping me see that it's a great thing to discover one of my triggers so that I can avoid it. At least I didn't gain any weight. Didn't loose, but didn't gain. Got to be grateful for that too .
