    its just doesnt seem enough.

and you need to spread your veggies throughout the day.

you can eat the skin on the chicken, its good for you

I agree with Emma, seems like you need more food, eat the skin and veggies spread out.

      Good Luck.

i know eating the atkins wol is hard to adjust to in the sense of amount of food, but that's whats so amazing about it.. u do not halfta starve urself to lose weight! it was soo hard for me to eat mayo and butter and more than 2 oz of chicken but you'll believe it when you see it. and unfortunately (im pretty sure anyway) if u dont eat enuf on atkins, u dont lose.
        my sample menu for today

snacked on turkey bacon and a hardboiled egg

steakum with sauteed onions, 1 slice of tomato, and mayo

parmesan breaded chicken fingers with honey mustard (wanted to try the recipe)

and later im planning on my 2cups salad with some leftover steak strips.

so eat up and enjoy!!!! good luck!

            Re: Day 1 meals

todays menu looks much better, though again i would spread those veggies out a bit more, try and have a cup at each meal, then snack on things like chicken/eggs

            whats a steakum?

how were those chicken fingers? that recipe looked good

A steakum is a real thin thin steak ? Minute steak is the same ... Yes her chicken fingers sound good to ..

If you haven't done so already, pick up a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002 edition) and read the stickies in the Induction forum. You are allowed 3 cups of veggies per day, these are NOT optional, they are REQUIRED!

                You may have:

3 cups "salad" veggies (more than just lettuce! This category includes things like cucumbers, peppers, celery, etc.)

                OR

2 cups "salad" veggies PLUS one cup "other" veggies ("other" veggies include string beans, spaghetti squash, pumpkin, cauliflower, tomatoes, etc.)

                    Re: Day 1 meals

It is so hard to adjust to eating the meat and veggies. I look at my plate and think " I can never eat this much meat." But I can tell you that my clothes are looser already and I weigh in tomorrow to see how that translates into pounds. Enjoy all the good food we have on Induction and don't be afraid.

                      Re: Day 1 meals

mm.. steakums are like my fav thing to eat, with a whole entire cup of sauteed onions lol. but as for the parmesan crusted chicken fingers.. i found the recipe on here from one of the girls! it was soooo yummy!

                      slice chicken breats into strips

dip in beaten eggs with salt and pepper to taste

'bread' them in parmesan cheese. she suggested using the powder but that her friend used shredded and it workd just as well.

then fry them until golden brown in hot oil. also u can make ur own honey mustard sauce from mayo, mustard and splenda. its in the recipe part of this board, but i cant remember her name. anyway, it was delicious!
