    You know, I haven't read the other post yet. So forgive me if I repeat something....

    I just want to say that you need to not be so tough on yourself. This is a hard step to make. A life changing choice. It won't come easy. And won't come until you are ready.

    That said, I made the choice to do this WOL at LEAST ten times before I did. All I can tell you is that once you see the scale move for the first time, you won't want to go back. Give it TWO weeks (though you will most likely see progress before that). Anyone can do anything for just TWO weeks, right?

    You CAN do this. You ARE strong enough. I promise. Good luck, honey!

      thanks again everyone, i've not been on for a few days so I have only just read your other posts. "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels" that is so true! I used to be a size 10/12 UK size and I want to be that again. i'm going to dig out an old photo of myself for inspiration!

        Don't feel alone, I am right where you are. I always say, "I'm starting Monday," like starting on a Thursday really is gonna kill me. I still haven't started and you know what, I told myself my same old "monday" excuse earlier today. I'm actually getting fed up with my own excuses...If only I could get fed up with the taste of foods that I have a weakness for,lol....I really hate my arms when I wear t-shirts and my stomach, everything really, so I just keep telling myself that, 'how are you gonna feel wearing a t-shirt to work this summer with those huge arms and stomach,' so far I haven't talked myself into it, but I'm praying someday I'll finally get on track, very soon I hope. The other excuse I use all the time is, "I'll start after all this junk food is gone, or after all this reg. pop is gone, because I can't afford to just waste it."
        I just keep trying to remind myself of the future, I really really want kids, but right now I'm so self consious that It seems like I'll never be able to find that someone that I can have kids with. That's a big one for me, I want to have kids so bad, so I need to do this for me, for my future. I think that's the one thing that's gonna get me started on this wol, and get me to stick to it. I'll just keep imagining the day when I'm holding my newborn. korny, i know, but it's something that keeps my mind thinking about losing weight, so I guess just find that one thing that you want more than anything and give yourself a reminder that you see everyday. Don't just write your plans and put them on the fridge, once the fridge is open, you dont see it anymore. get a ring, or a bracelet and wear it everyday. You'll have to get close to your hands to eat and drink pop, so you'll see that ring everytime you pick up your fork, and you'll think about that one thing you want more than whats on your plate....sorry for the long boring post, but I hope you can take something out of it.
        I see that you are pretty young, I am about 10 years younger and being young and on a diet or woe, just doesn't seem right, sometimes it's hard to tell people because you feel like you shouldn't need to diet at such a young age, but it's more of us youngsters,lol, who need it more than ever. That's another big problem of mine, I don't tell anybody, I keep it a secret always, because I'm scared of failure, but I'm just now starting to realize that you nobody would be a success if it weren't for failure....We can only learn from our mistakes and get back up and try again. In a year from now, maybe we can be telling our stories of success on this site....
        I'M GONNA STOP LOOKING BACK & START MOVING ON & LEARN HOW TO FACE MY FEARS, LOVE WITH ALL OF MY HEART, MAKE MY MARK, I WANNA LEAVE SOMETHING HERE...GO OUT ON A LEDGE WITHOUT ANY NET, THAT'S WHAT I'M GONNA BE ABOUT CAUSE I WANNA BE RUNNING WHEN THE SAND RUNS OUT...CAUSE PEOPLE DO IT EVERYDAY, PROMISE THEMSELVES THEY'RE GONNA CHANGE, I'VE BEEN THERE, BUT I'M CHANGING FROM THE INSIDE OUT, THAT WAS THEN AND THIS IS NOW

            I agree, that was a good post "NeedToLoseLbs". I'm the same, I'll always start on Monday but Monday never comes, and to start mid week would be daft, LOL! Its scary the hold that food can have on you!
