  • Induction Flu or...?

I'm on Day 10 of my Induction, and I figured that, having made it through the straits of headaches and crankiness around Day 3-4, I was in the clear... but when I got up this morning, I swooned and staggered to the bathroom with overwhelming nausea. I didn't end up getting sick, but shortly thereafter crawled back into bed, fell asleep and didn't wake up till almost six hours later.

Are these relatively common occurrences (the symptoms, even if not their severity), or should I be looking for another culprit?

I'm not sure if it's common or not, but it didn't happen to me. And as long as you're eating enough and get the necessary vitamins, I don't see how this can be connected to your menu.

    Hope you're feeling better now!

I had low blood sugar and a headache(which could have been attributed to low blood sugar) but so far no nausea and i'm almost through my second week. Everyone detoxes at a different rate, maybe your 's just decided now was the time.

I've only seen 2 types of nausea caused by Atkins. 1) the 'oh gross, no I don't want to EAT' kind when one's appetite is completely killed, and 2) The 'oops, I CAN get pregnant now!' kind....
100 pounds gone forever from 12/03-11/04. Thank you Dr. Atkins, may you rest in peace...

Yeah, swooning and staggering sounds more like you might actually be sick with something more than the induction flu! Feel better soon!

                UPDATE:
Whatever malevolent beastie got ahold of me yesterday, the [ordinarily unprecedented] six-hour nap must have been enough to do him in. Feeling much better today. Thanks for the pointers and encouragement, everybody!
