  • Starting over, but so far so good.

Let me tell you, I didn't expect to come back to Atkins, but I know my weakness is bread, pasta, and sugars in any form. I lost 17lbs last year, just with adjustment in diet and exercise and cutting out full sugar sodas. With that alone, I hovered around 201lbs for several months, which I hated, but was a good sign that I was maintaining weight and not regaining. I started a diet a few days ago, cutting out extra bread and reverting to my plan of portioning out my meals in advance. I basicly went back into induction and didn't notice. My mother was the one to point it out and ask if I was back on Atkins. I thought about what I had been eating and decided to pull out the ketosticks and just test to see what was happening. I'm already back in ketosis even though I haven't been following by the book.

I went to the gym to work out for a little bit and to use their scale since I refuse to get one. I'm below 200lbs for the first time in over a year! What a motivation. 28lbs to first goal sounds a lot easier to lose than 30 for some reason. Another acheivement, I can put my jeans on right out of the drier. No more awkward stretching!
