  • ?? about Balsalmic Vinegar

    Hello,

I am not sure where this needed to be posted. I made a dinner lastnight and I am not quite sure if it was legal or not, so please see below at what I made and let me know if it was okay, thanks.

I chopped up chicken and mushroom (about 3 oz) and cooked them in Virgin Olive Oil and seasoned it with garlic powder, salt, pepper and alittle minced onion (about a 1/3 tsp) and then I splashed it with Balsalmic Vinegar and then finished the cooking in that. I was great, but then I thought that maybe the BV wasn't good. I am usually pretty good with knowing what to use and what not to use, but BS I really don't know about.

So if anyone could let me know if this was okay or not, I would greatly appreciate it.

Okay I found a post that stated BS had sugar in it, so now, I am going to drink twice the amount of water I usually do to get the sugar out of my system.

Yes, you are right that balsamic vinegar does have sugar in it, which is why it is the only vinegar mentioned in the induction-allowed list as being one we are supposed to avoid.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
