I justed wanted to share this little victory that I had yesterday. My work bought me a birthday cake, it was my favorite gourmet cake too, however I managed to overcome my temptations and did not have once single piece of cake. I so wanted to, and everyone was like go ahead, have a piece, it's your birthday, it's only once a year. I just kept telling them (all day long) that if I gave in and used the excuse that it was okay because it was my birthday, that it would then open a door to thousands or more excuses that I would be able to use to cheat this WOL. I have tried this WOL so many times (too many to count) and I have always failed. The first time I did this back in 2003, I went from 155 to 130, and it was awesome. I unfortunately went off the wagon and chalked it up to getting married and getting comfortable (not with myself, with my man). This was my excuse. But now I see that it was the same reason as all of my other attempts/failures, lack of willpower, dedication and loyalty to a new healthy me.
After restarting induction (Feb4th) and still going strong, I feel wonderful. Full of energy, and full of desire to continue this and make it a part of my WOL.
I just wanted to also say that I hope everyone making a change for the better with this WOL also feels as good as I do, and I wish everyone the best of luck!!!
