  • Is Kimchi safe for the induction period?

I like kimchi, because It's easy to store/prepare and filling when you're hungry. I'm wondering if it has any significant carb with all the mixture of spices, fermentations, etc. Does anybody have info?

    Thanks!

IT really depends on how it's made. If they add sugar to it, then avoid it. But if it's made the real, authentic way, it might be okay.

As Megs said, it all depends on what is in it

The only way to tell is either to make it yourself from ingredients that are 'legal' or to ask and hope they tell you the truth.

If you do ask, make sure you explain that you dont want anything with sugar in it or with fruit which I have seen listed as ingredients for recipes for kimchi! One recipe claiming to be authentic had apple, orange and lemon slices in it as well as carrots
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Thahnks. I know a neighbor asian market where they make it from scratch, and it tastes pretty authentic (no sweet flavor, etc), but let me ask them to make sure.
