Sometimes it's the sugar alcohols in them, the ones that you supposedly "don't have to count". You DO have to count them. If the bars don't give you explosive diarrhea, then your body is processing all of those carbs like regular sugar. If you do have to run to the potty, you still have to count at least 1/2 the amount, so you'd still have to count at least 12g carbs!
For most people it's an issue with CRAVINGS. Those bars are nothing but glorified candy bars. Eat one, and you want another one 5 minutes later. It's best to stick to REAL FOOD whenever possible.
Not only that, most of them aren't legal until AT LEAST rung 6 of OWL because of their ingredients. (Usually they have milk ingredients, nut ingredients, and soy ingredients which aren't legal until rungs 2, 3, and 6 respectively.)
I just bought radishes and I am going to dip them into Ranch dip. It sounds good anyways.
I normally have a hotdog with mustard and Heinz one carb ketchup.
I also thought about making my normal crab dip (crab,green onions,horseradish,cream cheese) and also some of the flax crackers or cheese crackers to dip in it.

Cucumber wedges with creamcheese (mixed with small amount of Salsa/hot sauce); I also really like Linda's cheese crisp cracker thingy's -- I add cayenne pepper to mine to spice them up.. but either way they are delish.
We also have a food dehydrator I am able to make my one jerky for when I really want something hard and chewy... Lots of cracked pepper and more cayenne

I made flax crackers last night and dipped them in a spicy ranch dressing. Was very satisfying. Will have to make more when I do it again cause my daughter decided they were very good also.
Edited to add.... flaxseed should only be used in induction if your are suffering with constipation.
