Is there a limit on how much steak you can eat? If I wanted to eat a steak every night for dinner, could I?

Re: Steak
Actually you dont 'have' to eat red meat unless you like itOriginally posted by Carb AddictI very rarely ate red meat until I had to with Atkins.
I think I have only had a steak once in the 4 plus years I have been Atkineering - and then I was disappointed in how it tasted and could only eat half of it!!
Our normal eating regime doesnt include steak as my husband doesnt like it, so our 'meat' is mainly chicken, pork, bacon and fish.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: Steak
A nightly steak is no prob... as long as you follow the rest of the programme as it's meant to be followed.
Not so good if carb creep sets in or if you go off the rails frequently... but that holds true for any weight loss programme.
Just be sure you eat to satisfy your hunger, no more and no less. Also, don't forget the veggies, exercise and plenty of water!

Re: Steak
I am in day 3..have been eating hamburger chili, eggs, steak, fish, chicken-any fresh plain meat with brocolli, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini when I get hungry. Tonight for dinner (and I was sooo hungry, I had a big hamburger patty fried in onions and Mrs. Dash(High Blood Pressure). I piled the diced cooked white onions on top of the meat on a small saucer and topped it with a slice of Cheese and microd for 35 sec. on high. When I cut the meat it ran with melted cheese......I could only eat half of it though. I'm having the other half with 2 eggs over easy fried in butter for breakfast tommorow!

Re: Steak
If you want steak every night...go for it! I love a nice steak on the grill and since I live in Hawaii I can grill year 'round.
I'm doomed for the rest of my life though when it comes to red meat. My mom had cancer years ago and told me that red meat feeds cancer....I'm not sure if that's been proven, but I've tried to limit it ever since.
