:NewDay You can do it...just keep at it!!!:walking
If it were me, I'd just keep going like it didn't happen, but possibly add a few more days on to induction. To me, that seems to be the only logical thing to do.
Age: 30

Goal - 110 a whole new me!
Temptations will always be there, the thing that helped me was to write down what I'd do when issues arise so that I have a backup plan to keep me focused. You could buy a cake instead of baking it and give it directly to him or put it in the freezer. You could make a 'friendly' dessert instead of the cake to share with him. You could give him a gift certificate or non-food item instead of a cake. You could take him somewhere special and DO something rather than base the holiday around food. You could take a walk while he eats. You name it, just make sure you write it out and put your 'at goal' photo or inspirational quotes/sayings around so you feel stronger. Visuals help me a lot, they give me a focus on where I'm going...so I highly recommend them.
Don't look back, just make plans to keep going. Drink lots of water, make a plan and come here often to get support when you are feeling weak or just to re-fuel yourself with encouragement everyday. We're here for you! You can do it!
Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F
Dedication gives wings to our dreams and keeps them in flight! In One Word...COMMITTMENT.
Okay - first of all please put away that whip that you are using to beat yourself up... What's done is done. Your not DOOMED. You realized that you made a mistake - you can't undo it, but you can LEARN from it. Next time you make a dessert for BF - make a "legal" dessert - there are plenty out there even for induction time. You need to sit back and figure out what triggered you to eat foods that weren't good for you.
While I am not sure if you will gain weight back that you lost (I don't think so -- but need the "experts" to answer). I would suggest that you restart your induction - personally that is what I would do... but thats just me .
You already know that Atkins works - you are already reaping the benefits (weight loss)!
By the way you are NOT pathetic - your human and as such are have tendancy to screw up once in a while... We ALL do - why do you think there are soooo many of us 2nd timers. Even the experts the ones that inspire all of us fall every now and again - their secret though is that they pick themselves back up... wipe the dirt on their knees and keep going & while continually learning what are their trigger points and what works or doesn't work for them.
Have your boyfriend give you a big hug and cheer up - Tomorrow will be a better day!!

Maybe have a few legal snacks around if an emergency comes again. For me cream cheese is a savior sometimes. I eat some with a bit of celery and I can usually overcome a bump when I need to.

You have been given good advice, Minu, so I am sure you will be fine if you follow it.
Just one thing - if you do decide to extend induction for a while to 'make up' for the slip you made rather than starting up the OWL ladder after your first 14 days, do make sure you make a note of your weight on the 15th day after you first started induction so you can look up your metabolic resistance to weightloss on the chart in DANDR (chapter 13)
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
We all have messed up at some point. Those who have not! I bow down to you!
I did my re-start date on 2/15 b/c of possible chocolate LOL.... so join me! hop back on the horse!
