  • So excited

I still have 3 days left of induction and I've lost 7 lbs. I own one pair of bluejeans (size 20) and they were falling off of me so I decided to buy me a new pair. I tried on a size 18, and they were too big, so I tried on a 16. I could put the 16's on, they fit but they're just a little to tight to wear comfortably. So I went ahead and bought them. I know that in about two more weeks they will fit perfect. I can't believe it, I almost skipped a whole size. I am so excited and motivated to keep going. I just don't understand why I've only lost 7 lbs, but it's ok, inches are better. I know eventually the pounds will come down. Well, I just wanted to share my good news with all of you and hopefully it will encourage some of you that are just starting.

Congrat! It's pretty amazing when you think about it! We can eat alot of things that are not allowed on more restrictive diets- mayo, butter, steak.. I too have had great success and determined to keep going! There is nothing like finding a pair of jeans- I usually find clothes shopping sooooo depressing. The jeans you found are probably not even your end size goal but it still feels good to be going down in sizes! Enjoy it and stay strong!

      Congrats to YOU!!!!!!!

Hang in there! I would rather see the inches fall-off that way you see and feel the difference. This just motivated me once again! And put your scale in the closet, so that it doesn't upset you if you stall just a little.

That is definately not my end size. I still have a long way to go but it is nice to see the inches going away.

              Re: So excited

Wow thats great!! Are you tracking your success by the inches lost or actual weight? Either way phenomonal job!!

Designbabe - hang in there alot of it has too do with the way our body's are shaped and how much weight you have to lose. Some people on the board have been convinced that their weight loss was in the big toes because the didn't see it anywhere else I am one of those that the tummy is one of the last to go.. shame as its the first to put on weight. You will start seeing a difference soon if you haven't already & don't worry about the "weight" aspect as - as you can see the measurements are normally more important in the sceam of things

                        Re: So excited

Hey good job!! I wouldnt worry about the scale not coming down....If you are exercising you might be gaining muscle, and that weighs more than fat. And if not, your scale might be reflecting water weight or something...the way clothes fit and the measurements is DEFINITELY the best way to tell. I have decided firmly that I am going to put up my scale, and not pull it out until the end of this month. This is only my 4th day but I am going to make myself crazy obsessing about the numbers on that thing! I would much rather use measurements or the way my clothes fit.

                        You are doing great!

It's doing the exact same thing to me. I don't care as long as I know I am losing fat and I am getting smaller. That scale is hard to break away from. That fat is really like and fluffy and we can visualize greater results by looking in the mirror (or at pictures) than at the number on the scale.
