How do I insert a picture into my profile?

I've tried many, many ways but it keeps telling me the file is too large regardless of how small I resize it and no matter what I do. I'm so ticked off. HELLLPPP!

I'm not a big technical person but this is what I do:

I save the picture on my computer. Then upload it to a photo-hosting site. People like photobucket, but I prefer www.flickr.com. Once it is uploaded, they have different sizes you can choose.

Copy the url of the photo and put it in your signature by clicking on the logo like a mountain and pasting it in the box that comes up.

It should be small enough I would think.

Have you tried uploading it from your computer into the ADBB gallery then copying/pasting the link starting [img] and ending [/img] into your signature?
