  • Avacado's During Induction???

    I've got three that are just about to go bad and Thought I could put them in my chicken salad at lunch. but I cannot find anywhere that mentions whether they are are legal during induction.

    Hey,

    Yes you may have 1/2 a small avocado per day on induction. This is part of the 'Special Category Foods' which is p.129 of my DANDR.

    But be sure to count them in your intake and be aware they can be problematic for some people. Yummy though and great for the skin.

      see I was just going over my book and thanks for that page number. It says in the book absolutely no fruits but then lists avacados under fruits in the carbohydrate counter. Then It lists it on pg 129 as a special category food and shows it on their sample menu. hmmm. maybe I just throw them out for now. I don't want to risk it.

        avocados are iffy...i think it depends on what it does to you...like even though DANDR mentions that 1/2 is allowed...even that much doesn't work for me...so see wat it does to u and then decide but all the special category items come with a caution i guess...
