Hi everyone...so this is a pre-mature question but I am one week into induction and was wondering how do u decide if u should go on extended induction or move on to the OWL...i have heard many say that doing induction more than 2 weeks can stall u...is that true? then how does one decide if they should move on or do another week of induction? also my weight loss is so sparodic...one day ill be down 2-3lbs next day back up so how do i tell how much weight i have lost on induction? do i weight myself on day 14 and say thts how much cuz day 15 i might just lose/gain few lbs wat do u folks suggest?

    Thanx!

    Hi Minu:

While I am sure one of the experts will get a better answer for you - we all react differently. The following is a guide line to losing weight and to tell what your restistance level is. The experts believe unless you have a high restistance then you should move on to OWL. ((And judging by their success stories I would follow their advice)).. Also - do yourself a favor and temporarily give up custody of your scale. Since you are fluxating and might end up frustrated judge your weight loss success for the time being with your measurements... The way I know this plan is working is the way my clothes fit -- the loosier they get the more I know I am on track.

        Re: Induction-Extended Induction-OWL

Hi guys. Ive been on induction for 3 weeks. Ive lost 10 pounds and so far so good. I have some days where I feel sluggish but most days feel good. Excercise Im sure has been helping. I do 3.5 miles a day on the excercise bike and work weights.

Im staying with the 20 carbs still only because Im doing a nono each day. I DO ENJOY my cocktails and have a few Vodkas before dinner each night. I KNOW its preventing the process but I am losing.

I truly see now how low carbers say how you lose the appetite for sweets, breads and such. Im from a pasta crazy family being Italian but dont miss it at all!

I would move onto OWL 1 as it is just like Induction...just with more veggies. You can stay on a rung as long as you want. I spent four months on OWL 1 and now have moved up.

I just looked at the OWL 1 list of recommended foods. Yes, very similar to induction. I must say that I actually think Im already in this phase. Ive been eating alot of "that" stuff in small portions as it is. maybe I should stay put with what Im doing....losing about 3 pounds per week. I need to lose 40 more as an initial goal...then go from there. Thanks.

Im 6' 2" 288 lbs. I have hip arthritis and HAVE to lose.
