  • Metabolistic (sp?) resistance ??

I cannot find my book, so I need help. I need to know what Dr. Atkins said what to do incase you were metabolistic resistant. Probably not the spelling.

    Re: Metabolistic (sp?) resistance ??

You have to figure out what is causing the metabolic resistance. Dr. ATkins devoted an entire chapter in the book about it. The causes can be anything from medications to pre-existing medical conditions.

But the most important thing is to figure out if you are metabolically resistant to weight loss based on Dr. Atkin's definition of it. Too many times I read folks with 50 pound weight loss goals who think they have a high metabolic resistance because they "only lost" 12 or 14 pounds during their 14 day Induction. So you really need to see if you are really resistant.

The other thing is if you didn't follow Induction "cleanly" you might get a false impression of your level of resistance. That's why we keep harping that it's really, really important to do a clean Induction---so you maximize your weight loss and get an accurate estimate of your degree of metabolic resistance to weight loss.
