I've just finished my induction phase and have sucessfully lost 15lbs (from 168lbs to 152lbs) by strictly following the rules.
However, the one thing I didn't follow was to avoid getting caffeine, mainly because I really need coffee during the day to concentrate. I've been having at least 2 cups of coffee everyday (black no sugar) during the induction, but it didn't seem to affect my weight-loss.
Do you think avoiding caffeine is all that crucial to the diet, or it's just a "recommendation." After all, coffee itself doesn't have any carbs or sugars. There seem a lot of contradicting theories for/against taking caffeine during the diet.

I however do have a Diet Mt Dew on occation and so far in about 50 days ive lost ~27lbs so I'm not complaining TOO much. But for now it seems to be working great!
