  • Help! Green stool.

I am on Day 3. I was a little shaky and had a fever when I woke up.
Later felt better. Felt a little nauseated about an hour after breakfast.
Had really yellow pee despite drinking so much water!
Lately, my poop is really green and soft...eww..sorry to gross you out.
A few hours later and I am feeling pretty good and pee is back to normal.
    Has anyone experience this before?
I found this on the net:
Adults can also have green poop if they eat large amounts of green, leafy vegetables or if they eat large amounts of foods with green food coloring. Green feces can also occur with diarrhea if bile salts pass through the intestine unchanged. Bile salts are substances that make up bile, which is a fluid produced by the liver that help digest fat. The liver is the largest organ in the body and is responsible for filtering (removing) harmful chemical substances, producing important chemicals for the body, and other important functions.

I said 'lately my poop is really green'.
I meant to write only today my poop is really green and soft.

I guess your Internet research has given you the answer to your question. So either you aren't a leafy green veggie eater and those 3 cups of Atkins veg have 'shocked' your system or you ate low fat and are now giving your liver a well-deserved work out.

your fine. Mine is frequently green due to the amount of green leafy vegetables and other dark green vegetables I eat. Don't worry You're not dying.

yeah your right its probably just shock. Dont usually eat a lot of lettuce. Usually I ate other kinds of veggies. Also, have never ate so much fat before. Usually ate mostly carbs.
Good to hear. I was worried maybe it was food poisoning causing soft diarreah like pooh.
Thanks alot and good luck to you.

            Re: Help! Green stool.

I am glad you have found some reassuring info online. BTW I have read that some vitamins can turn your pee a bright yellow when you start taking them.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
