Re: Day 5 (lost an inch)

Keep in mind is that the body's metabolism slows down when you don't eat, so just to keep the furnace burning, eat something. One misconception I've had is that I had to have 3 sit-down meals (plus 2 snacks), and my schedule often prevented that. Now I understand that a small snack of something within the plan is better than waiting for hours until I'm ravenous. Also, waiting to lose all the fat before you begin strength training is like waiting till you're 65 years old before you start to save for retirement. You've already said your goal is more focused on a fit appearance than pounds on a scale. Building muscle underneath now will only help your contours once the fat is gone. Having poor muscle tone might give an even saggier appearance. I'm no expert, but I do know that as a female, you won't bulk up as much as you think (unless you're on steriods). Good luck on the marathon goal. With this way of life, it SO attainable!

        Dear Kelly,
Yeah, your so right. I am gonna add 2 small snacks to the three meals. I am a little hungrier now that I started work again. Well, my focus is my upper arms.
Yeah, I have decided to do wieghts. Silly me!!!
I am going to work my way up to a marathon by the end of August.
        Thanks alot.
