  • Just Starting!

Hi! I'm Renee. This is my intro and a question. Well, two.

I did this diet a long, long time ago and was very successful, not with the weight loss as much, but lowering my blood sugar. I'm diabetic. Then life happened and now I'm finding my way back. I'm starting at 260 and my ultimate goal is to lose 125 pounds.

I have a couple of questions. First, the basic one. Is it okay to eat eggs every morning? Not much else on the acceptable foods list looks all that "breakfasty" really. I think the first time, I sometimes just ate what I ate for the other meals. Like a burger for breakfast. *L*

Second question is that I've read I will lose slower this time, but is that true even if several years have passed? How much slower?

    Thanks for your help!

    Renee

Eggs are great for breakfast but if your get sick of them another alternative is cream cheese muffins yum yum

2 8oz. pks. philadelphia cream cheese
1/2 cup sweetener (I use spenda)
      2 eggs
      1/2 tsp. vanilla

Soften cream cheese about 40 seconds in microwave. Add other ingredients. Beat with mixer till smooth. Pour into 12 muffin pans lined with the papers. Bake at 350 for 20 min.

There is no food that has to be eaten for any particular meal, so you can choose anything you like from the induction list for breakfast!

Some people eat leftovers - and even prepare extra food for dinner so they have some leftover!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
