  • Ranch dressing and sugar free jello

Hi everyone, I'm on my second week of induction and I notice reading the posts that a lot of people eat ranch dressing. I LOVE ranch dressing but I can't seem to find any that don't list sugar on their list of ingredients. Can someone recommend one to me. Ranch would make a huge difference to me.

My 2nd question is can I eat sugar fee jello on induction. I'm not that hungry anymore but I want something at night and I think that would fix my desires. Thanks!

I would say youre fine with the SF Jello. Remember to not eat it all the time if your body is sensitive to aspartame as a staller food, but it generally is edible by most folks without issues.

I use Hidden Valley Ranch. It has sugar in it I think, which I know is "bad" but I too can't seem to find much of any dressing without it and it is 1 carb per serving and hasn't stalled me ever (this time or last time) --- but I'm sure folks here could suggest great brand names without it.

Try the salad dressings in the refridgerated section of your store. I dont know if Bobs makes a ranch but the roquefort is delicious with no sugar

Re: Ranch dressing and sugar free jello

Though many people do use 'sf jello' as MrsBritt said, it does have aspartame in it I think, so is not strictly allowed by Dr Atkins.
Also - in DANDR it is not an allowed food on the list of acceptable foods for induction!!
However Dr Atkins suggested you could make your own dessert for occasional inclusion in your menus (not every day) by using unsweetened gelatin (gelatine in UK) with an allowed sweetener.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
