  • I'm scared i'm not eating enough!! :O

    Hi ya,

    Don't know if its just me but i've been erading up alot on "Stalls" and i really don't want to mess up this Diet but I feel like i'm not eating enough calories??

    I personally am NEVER hungry (For once!) lol But i am a student.. In other words POOR! lol So i am finding buying food for this diet very hard. Does any1 know any cheap easy snacks i could have to bulk up my calories?

    Today i had...

    Breakfast: 3 eggs Fried and a small onion. 1 oz cheese ALL FRIED IN OIL

    Lunch: Tuna 1 oz of cheese some cucumber.

    Dinner: 3 chicken fillets with a green pepper. Sprinkle of cheese.

    LOTS OF WATER & Tea with 2 sweentner & Heavy cream!!

    It's not enough is it?? IM SO STREESSED ABOUT IT!!!



    START WEIGHT: 214lbs
    1ST MINI GOAL: 196lbs
    2ND MINI GOAL: 168lbs
    3RD MINI GOAL: 154lbs
    FINAL TARGET: 126lbs

    Hey Angie,

    Don't stress! This is a whole new way of thinking and it takes time to get it right!

    I would say, first - do you feel hungry? If yes then that indicates maybe not enough calories are being eaten.

    Generally on your menu I would say it looks like you may be having a little too much protien, and not enough veg. make sure you get in 2 full cups of salad veggies and 1 cup of denser veg (i.e. broccoli or courgette a day). This will give you nutrients and fibre.

    One good way of working it out can be using something like www.fitday.com to see how many calories and carbs you are eating. On there you can also work out your BMR and compare that to your calories. Don't forget to set a goal for firbe and subtract that from your daily carb count. A lot to take in at first, but it gets easier.

      Hi Angie,

      Do you have a microwave? If you do, you can make some cheese crisps. They are a great snack when you have a lot of classes. They will upper your fat intake and also add some more calories.

      You might also try pork rinds. I never used them (I find them a bit gross), but I've read many easy/fast recipes that include pork rinds.

      Flax crackers are also easy to make if you have a microwave, just keep in mind that flax and cheese are limited on induction.

        I agree with putting everything in FitDay, without amounts of the food, we can't really tell how much protein/carbs/fat that is.

        jicama is pretty cheap and it is easy to eat raw. I like it cold out of the fridge. I put it in my backpack and eat it on break. It gives you a lot of fiber too. The green bell peppers are the cheapest and I cut them in slices and eat them out of my backpack too, raw. Zuchinni is very cheap but you have to cook it. Radishes are cheap, can be eaten raw, and add a real snap to your tastebuds. I like most of my veggies raw because I just need to put them in a bag and stuff them in my backpack. I hope this helps. Don't freak out though, I was where you are struggling to get 1200 calories a day. It gets eaiser.

          that is a great idea, but Angie I would warn you finding jicama in the UK has proved impossible for me. If you do find it - please tell me! It's a shame because it sounds great.

          You're so right about the zucchini (courgette) I eat about 4 a week. YUM!

            Oh no! I didn't realize she was in the UK! I had heard it was hard to get in a lot of places. It is all over the place here in southern Cali but then again, we have most everything. I especially love the avocados!

            You can't go wrong with Z (courgette?) if you have a little hotplate and some oil, sautee them up.

                      I think if you eat til your full but not stuffed and never get hungry you will be fine.

                      My friend is from the south and she was talking about snaps and bauled peanuts and I didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Turned out it was green beans and boiled peanuts and we live in the same county. She didnt have a clue what jicama and articokes were so we had fun introducting eachother to new foods.
