Re: eggs and bacon
While you will lose weight the way you are eating now while at the start - and well done on the 8lbs! - it won't be doing the best for you body if you continue with a such a narrow range of foods. While eggs and bacon are ok, it certainly isn't a healthy diet if that's basically the core of what you eat, a healty diet needs some variety. Plus a lot of people (me included) find that eating too much bacon causes them to stall as time goes on. It didn't do it at the start, but things change as you lose weight. Now I tend to keep them as a treat - a rasher or two once or twice a week at most, always accompanied by extra water.
In the short term, make sure the bacon you are eating has no sugar in it. Also make sure you are drinking at least the 2 litres per day that should be your minimum to make up for the saltiness of the bacon.
In the longer term, try to vary your diet so that it becomes more healthy and nutritious. As Chicklady says, be certain to get your full quota of veg every day, it's very important and is not optional. Most of your carbs should come from veg. Eggs have carbs and 9 eggs is contributing at least 5 carbs a day, more if they are very large eggs. So try to ensure that you are getting enough veg so that veg constitutes most of your carbs even as you stay within the 20 per day. Also try to introduce a wider variety of fresh meat and some cheese to vary your protein sources.
BTW Chicklady, a rasher is just a slice!Kate
