I bought a can of this but I don't see it on the acceptable food list for veggies, but turnips our allowed. Does anyone know if this would be considered a salad veggie or an other veggie?
Thanks in advance,
Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Turnip greens are the same as collard greens. They are on the other vegies list.

They taste allot llike spinach. I love them fried in bacon grease with chopped up bacon.

I love turnips and turnip greens!!!! I use turnips like potatoes...they make great hashbrowns! Turnip greens are so delish too!! Cooked with bacon or ham ... YUM!
I actually just put them in the microwave with some butter and they were like spinach with a distinct taste to them. Cooking them that way was okay, but I think I will try the others suggestions about cooking them in bacon grease next time to add alittle more flavor. I know this is alittle TMI, but it definately helped me out in the bathroom department : )
