  • Day 4 and loving it..........

    Hi Everyone,

Im really enjoying this diet so far I have lost 6lbs in 4 days.Im doing everything right but for the pass two nights I been eating one tablespoon of peanutbutter(craving). Ive been told that u cant have peanutbutter on Induction but for some strange reason im still in ketosis. Have anyone else experienced peanutbutter and had success on Induction?

    Congratulations on your loss

The reason you are still in ketosis is probably because you have not eaten more carbs than your CCLL even with the added peanut butter.

You might find you lose even more if you can manage not to allow yourself to 'cheat' and stick to induction-legal foods instead.

There are many creamy 'treats' you could make yourself instead and still stay on track

I think one of the problems with peanuts and peanut butter is that many people have a 'portion control' problem with them and find they can't limit themselves to the one ounce maximum even when they reach the legumes rung of OWL (peanuts aren't really 'legal' till you reach that rung as it is not a nut).
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I am an induction purest so if you can just fight those cravings you will be so much better off.
Finding SF jello made with Splenda is really hard in my area, if not impossible and since it's not on the acceptable list, I just don't do it.
I have found that eating something sour like a couple green olives or a dill pickle, the sweet craving go away.
Peanutbutter shouldn't kick you out of ketosis. Many of them have added sugar so you need to be careful there. A peanut is technically a legume and thats not allowed until your high up on the OWL, but it is also a nut and they are like the third rung. If it didn't send you into cravings your probably okay.
