Anyone have any good recipes for high fat intake.

According to my fitday.com I am eating about 58% protein and not only 40-50 fat. I need to up my fat.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks.

I don't exactly have any recipes but one of my favourite ways to up fat for breakfast (around 9/10am for me) is to have an omlette that is made up of 1 whole egg plus 3 yolks beaten with 1 tbs cream, fried up in in one tbs lard, with around 50 grams of cheese. This gets the fat ratio right up there early on. I don't usually get hungry until dinner and this is usually high fat but quite small.

I LOVE this recipe! I modified it from a recipe I saw on a cooking program.
        Baked avocado with bacon

        Avocado

        Bacon

        Cream

        Approx one tablespoon of cheese

        1. Set oven to its lowest setting (160 degrees on my oven)

        2. Cut avocado in half lengthways and remove the stone, place on a baking tray and gently warm the avocado in a low oven for approx 20 mins. While it’s warming cut the bacon into strips and gently fry it in oil (I used chilli oil)

        3. Once the bacon is slightly crispy turn off heat and add cream (approx 2 tbsp) and cheese and mix well.

        4. Take avocado out of oven and spoon in bacon mixture.

This tastes amazing! According to fitday, this is a whopping 44g fat, 478 cals and 4 net carbs. Hope you like it x

Thanks for sharing this, sounds so yummy.

How much bacon should I be using like 2-3 strips like it says in the book? Can I use the fresh bacon as opposed to the processed one?

How much cheese do you usually use?

            Thanks.

              Alfredo sauce!

Melt some butter in a pan. Don't scorch it though. Sprinkle some of the powdered parmesan cheese in the can over the butter and let it cook just a litttle bit. Then, slowly add heavy whipping cream until it is the consistency you want.

Delish over broccoli and chicken breast. Or on ANY veggie.

I would say regular cream. It is lower in carbs and higher in fat.

                This sounds amazing BTW.......

                  Thanks for the receipe.

PS I always allow 7-8 carbs for this although fitday makes the ingredients 4.

                        Re: Recipes for Fat

Moretta, like the others said, you should be using the full fat (heavy cream) and the reason I use more yolks and less whites is precisely to get the fat up. Have you tried using Fitday? This is a very valuable tool to help you get the ratios right if you want to up your fats, just go to Fitday.com, they have a free online programme, I really recommend it.
