  • I Will Never Give Up!

I did 1 day of Atkins 2 weeks ago.. I had a very bad headache that started around 4 pm, and lasted for 5-6 hours, I took tylenol but it didn't help. I was in so much pain, lost my willpower and had a piece of cake..
I really want to stick with it this time... I am gaining weight like crazy.. everyday I hear colleagues telling me how much weight I have gained in the past 4 months ( 20 lbs! if not more!)
My binge eating has gone out of control, and I know that the only way to control it by doing Atkins...
I know that if I get past the first 3 days, I can continue my journey..
I really want to do it for myself this time..
I want to look young and beautiful..
I want to gain back the self confidence I once had...
I want to be a good role model for my patients and my daughter..
    So, here I start again...
I will not call myself a failure..
I just gained another positive experience...
I will not give up until I reach my goal..
What I will do tomorrow is weigh myself and take my measurements and write them down..
    Good luck to Me!

    Well said, Faye
It sounds as if you are really motivated and determined to become a loser
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: I Will Never Give Up!

Sorry to get off subject but are you seriously for the United Arab Emerites or have I got it wrong? I think I kinda spelt it wrong at the very least.

RE your induction journey-it is a tough transition when you first start out. Headaches, upset tummies, dizziness and some other wonderful changes. Your body is in full out revolt and will not go down without a fight. The encouraging thing is that this will pass. Once you start losing the pounds, that feeling becomes addictive and everything seems wonderful. After that, it seems to be a journey of emotional ups and downs. Atkins is a way of life and it has worked wonders for me. I may not have lost all my weight but I feel so much better than I did when I started. I see it as a long term process and had to get used to the idea that it would not be a fast solution. It takes time. I have days when I have been discouraged and it takes extra creativity to keep distracted and not binge/cheat and ruin all my progress. I am committed to the long term results. I want to be healthy and in control of my life. I don't ever want to go back to being the heavy girl and all the self loathing that came with it.
You can do this!! Make yourself important enough to change bad habits! The short term discipline will make for a great long term life and health!

                          Hi Moretta,
Thanks for the support. I will try to look at withdrawal symptoms as a sign of health! after all, my body is getting rid of so many toxins! I am sure that once those three days are over, I will feel 100% better!
By the way , yes I am from the Emirates.. .
