Feeling sick on morning of day 2

    Hi all, I'm new here.

I did Atkins about 6 years ago with great success...and now I'm trying again. Yesterday was my first day of induction, but when I woke up this morning I felt ill and didn't want to eat anything with protein in it. I had to force myself to eat an egg. I feel like I did everything right yesterday and I felt great...now I'm tired, sluggish, and blah. I have the updated book, followed the guidelines to a T. What gives?

    Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I am with you Marilyn... I am also on day 2 today; my head hurts, my neck muscles are tight and my brain is totally foggy... I think for me it the after-effects of a sugar filled caffine drivin' life, because I have felt this way one time before and it was when I quit sugar and wheat.... hang in there, I have a feeling it will disappear.

It's the induction flu...in a few days it will go away and you'll feel better.

Sounds like Induction Flu. It will pass in a couple of days.

It's your body detoxing from all the processed foods, sugar and flour. I had a headache for 10 days from caffeine withdrawals. You'll be fine in a few days and full of energy. Don't give up.

Are you feeling any better now, Marilyn?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
