  • Nauseous

I just had dinner (2 cheeseburgers without buns and a salad). And I feel really nauseous. I think it's from eating so much fat. I honestly felt like I was going to throw up as I ate. But I was really hungry, so I ate it all. Now I just feel sort of gross. What should I do? I don't know if I can keep my fat intake as high as it's supposed to be if it makes me feel this way.

It was not exceptionally greasy for a burger, I think. But yes, it had a bit of grease on it.

then perhaps burgers just arent for you. theres always chicken or fish perhaps. cook with some olive oil.

Maybe it was a one time thing.

I would give them one more try to see if it is really the fat of the burgers and see how your stomach feels, and take it from there.

          Good luck.

Try to eat slow and do not finish something if you get full. Have a few veggies on the side.

Sometimes I think we have "issues with fat" because we have been taught that it is BAD and it can be a transition to get used to the fact that fat is not the ENEMY here. Have you tried ground turkey? It has no grease. It tastes pretty good. I had to get used to it though. Sometimes after I eat dinner I feel totally sick also. I think it may be our bodies getting used to this WOE. Not much help, but I understand how you feel

I think it may be a touch of induction flu. Looks like you are on day 4, that's about when I felt the same way as you... it will go aways in a day or so.

If you find that eating greasy foods makes you feel 'ick' then you might be better off choosing leaner cuts and adding fat either in cooking it (butter or a nice oil adds taste) or by adding butter or oil to veggies or making a sauce with butter/cream.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I agree with all of the above, especially about eating slowly. If I eat quickly, I feel sick too.

So slow down your eating. Actually taste and enjoy the food.
