I don't get it.
It says to eat 12-15 net carbs of vegitables per day. Which for my daily induction diet includes the following (using the atkins carb counter):
3 cups of romaine lettuce: 1.2g
1 cup of broccoli: 2
1/2 cup of multi-colored bell peppers: 2.3
1 cup cucumber: 2
12 cherry tomatoes: 5.6
=13.1g of carbs in vegitables.
But then other places I read that you're supposed to eat 3 cups of salad greens and 1 cup of vegitables, not more. You can't get 12-15g of net carbs from that little vegitables. But that's what it says, so am i eating too many?
Then i was reading the article that outlines the OWL phase 2, and it says to add 5 carbs the first week of vegitables and gives examples of vegitable portions that contain "roughly 5 grams of net carbs", and under that list are things like "1 cup cooked broccoli" but under the carb counter, that comes to 3.2 net carbs. there's also listed "1 cup cauliflower", which is 2.6 under the carb counter.
So I don't understand! Someone help me!
