this for example contain food that aren't allowed in the first phase, while it clearly says "Good for Atkinsā„¢ Phases: 1, 2, 3, 4"

Well done for seeing this anomoly before eating them in quantity

We have to remember that Atkins the company now is trying to make money from the products it makes, and has 'bent' their own rules to help this happen. They seem to be ignoring the rule 'eat nothing that is not on the list of foods for induction' in order to encourage people to buy their bars

As you noticed, many of those bars have ingredients not allowed till well into OWL (phase 2) so need to be left till the ARE allowed.

So if they contain nuts but everything else is induction-legal you could try them on the nuts rung of OWL but if they also contain grains then they are not allowed till the last rung of OWL.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Ingredients: protein blend (soy protein isolate, hydrolyzed collagen, whey protein isolate sodium caseinate), glycerine, polydextrose, caramel layer (polydextrose, inulin, butter, nonfat dry milk, soy lecithin, salt, vanillin), palm kernel and palm oil, cocoa powder (processed with alkali), dry roasted almonds, coconut oil, butter oil, cocoa butter, olive oil, natural and artificial flavor, soy lecithin, cellulose, guar gum, maltodextrin, citirc acid, mono and digylcerides, dipotassium phosphate, sucralose, acesulfame potassium.
I assume as it contains almonds & cocoa (which is from a seed) it would be 'legal' on the nuts/seeds rung of OWL - but be warned that many people have problems from the sugar alcohols which it contains.

        Edited to add
I looked up 'soy lethicin' after posting the above, and so it probably would not be 'legal' till the legumes rung

however I am not sure I would want to eat soy lethicin if what I found here http://www.westonaprice.org/soy/lecithin.html is true
Soybean lecithin comes from sludge left after crude soy oil goes through a "degumming" process. It is a waste product containing solvents and pesticides and has a consistency ranging from a gummy fluid to a plastic solid. Before being bleached to a more appealing light yellow, the color of lecithin ranges from a dirty tan to reddish brown. The hexane extraction process commonly used in soybean oil manufacture today yields less lecithin than the older ethanol-benzol process, but produces a more marketable lecithin with better color, reduced odor and less bitter flavor.7

That probably explains why those bars taste so bad! Blech.
