  • New and just starting Day 5

All I can say is WOW!!! I have never lost weight like this before. Started at 214 and today was 208 on day 5! I hope the rest of the induction and owl goes this way! I guess my body was addicted to carbs?

I notice I do feel alittle "funny" sometimes between meals. Not really hungry..but maybe low blood sugar. All the water sure helps though.

I have tried to lose 30-45lbs for the last 18 years with little success. The only thing so far was working out 5-6 days a week. But that was not so much fun when you would only lose a pound a week at best.

I'm hoping that with 3-4 days a week of workouts and adkins I will finally get where I need to be.

And finally feel better and confident about myself.

    Thanks ADBB!

    Chris

Great job!!! That's awesome! I'm on day 6 and down 6lbs, I can't wait to weigh in on the second week. I'm limiting myself to one weigh in a week, otherwise I become obsessed! Anyway, congrats and here's to continued weight loss!!

With 6 pounds down already I am fairly sure you do not have a resistance to weightloss so extending your induction would not benefit you, so make sure you read up on how to start OWL
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                Thanks Elizellen,

I have to continue my reading for sure! I'm just amazed at this. I'm losing 1-2 pounds a day. Something unheard of in my life time of exercising and dieting. I'm hoping this week when the weather breaks to get some more mtn biking in to "fuel the fire".

Going to OWL sounds like a little more fun. I'm not bored with the food and surely not going hungry. But some more variety would be nice.

Never had so much fun losing weight! WoooHooo!
