I think you should be adding more leafy greans and more fat. Not 100 percent sure though.

I agree, you need more fats. As per the "Book" the fat that you ingest is what gets your inner motor running. I'd also get rid of the tomato,(not supposed to eat tomato during the induction phase). Hope this helps. God Bless, Joe

Okay im really really confused now! I dont have the "book" yet, but i looked at the Atkins official website, and thats where i got my list of approved veggies, I would have swore that tomato was on the list of approved for the induction phase.
Also the fat intake according to fitday is around the 70% range which is auctally higher than the info provided on this site of the 65%-30%-5% ratio. I really appreciate everyones imput but really im confused!

Re: Started yesterday, is it really this easy?

I personally think your menu looks great. Burgers and Bacon have a lot of fat in them, and if fitday says you're at 70%, you're right no mark. Just be sure you are eating enough calories, that causes some to stall when they dont actually get enough.

You actually can have tomatos on Induction, however it is not a salad veggie, it's a higher carb veggie so you may only have 1 cup as long as you don't have more than 2 cups of salad veggies.

You are only supposed to have a total of 3 cups of veggies a day. 3 cups of salad veggies, or 2 cups salad veggies and 1 cup of a higher carb veggie. But no more than 3 just yet. You get to add 5 more veggie carbs in the very first rung in On Going Weight Loss.

Your water seems good, you could add a little more though. You're drinking about 64 ounces which is the minimum.
            Hope this helps!!!

Oh, and to answer your question, it IS that easy. Just be sure to exercise.

what is a good amount of calories to stick around?
So far this is day 2, and havent lost 1 bit although i do relize it takes some peoples bodies to adjust.

Re: Started yesterday, is it really this easy?

I actually found a calorie calculator and I re enter my weight for every 8 pounds or so I lose...just b/c I have a tendency to not eat enough. I know on Atkins you do NOT Have to count calories to lose weight but b/c once you're in ketosis... you wiol not be hungry and often times we dont eat enough to lose weight! LOL Who would have thought?! LOL

I usually don't lose anything until about the 4th day...we all basically store enough carbs in our body for energy for 3-4 days. So it typically takes that long to deplete those stores and start tapping into our body fat. You are RIGHT on target.

Also, I got my copies of DANDR on Amazon.com Youi can get used books for like 1 cent and pay like 2.49 in shipping! The books are practically new, and you cant beat the price! LOL
