  • Fire in belly

My husband has been experiencing what he calls a fire in his belly - like he's eaten hot foods, but he has not. Today and yesterday. Today is day 13.

    Anyone else experience this?

Can't say I've ever had this, but my thought was "maybe coffee" too...

Might be, that his body reacts to the fat rich diet. I suggest he takes Psyllium seeds twice a day for a few days. The Psyllium seeds absorb the stomach acid pretty well.

I have a very delicate stomach myself and I just recently discovered, that they help me tremendously.

            Re: Fire in belly

I have been experiencing that for the last two days now. This is about day 6 on Induction (dont really want to count days as this makes me impatient and prone to cheating). It started the day that I drank a cup of coffee too, not sure though if that is the main cause. It feels as if it was a torch in the upper middle part of my tummy. Essence of peppermint seems to help ease it. Possibly gas.
