  • Day four!

I just ended day 3 of the induction phase today. I just wanted to share that I overcame some MAJOR temptations today! The moment of truth came when I had a major stare-down with a box of Grapenuts. I know this is an odd craving, but I have loved 'em all my life and eating a bowl has been a part of my daily routine. But I decided that I was more important than the need to feed "the carb monster."

Tomorrow is day 4! I told myself that I was going to wait one week before I weighed myself, but I used the scale as a tool to detere cheating... and I've lost 4 lbs ALREADY! I do not recommend you weight yourself as soon as I did.. but WOW! This is amazing.

Thank you to everyone on this site!! Everyone's stories have kept me so strong. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
    Sara

Mmmm, I LOVE Grapenuts so I can sympathize with you You are doing wonderfully and getting over that hump is the hardest part. I am starting day 3 and still have a bit of a headache but am starting to feel better in general. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see everyone's results at the end of induction!

          Re: Day four!

Welcome Sara. Firstly toss the box of Grapenuts. That way you'll have no more temptations. Stay focused and you'll do fine. Keep us posted. God Bless, Joe

              Re: Day four!

Thank you for all of the replies! I put all of my triggers away in a deep, dark closet. My husband eats cereal for breakfast so it wouldn't be fair to toss it... but he humors me in my little 'Hide 'n' Seek' with various foods.

"So where did you hide the tortillas today, sweetie?"

Today has been good! I don't have a appetite today and I MADE myself eat a big, clean breakfast. I felt heaps better afterwards!

I feel 'happier' too... light hearted and optimistic. It's hard to put myself first with two small children, but I have so much more energy to give to them now! And of course my husband

Thank you again to all who replied
