  • Induction day 3

I've been feeling weak since yesterday, obviously having a hard time exercising but ok I just don't feel like forcing myself too much at this point.

This morning I woke up with a dry mouth feeling really thirsthy so I drank 2 L in about 3 hours and this without really having to go to the bathroom! Is that normal? Also feeling dizzy and having shivers... I'm taking a multivitaminic but could I be drinking too much for it to help me with the substances I need?

Tomorrow I have an appointment, I hope to feel a little better by then

    Re: Induction day 3

I have been drinking lots of water and peeing a lot too !! i guess this is how the body gets used to the new diet. I felt very tired this morning as it was my second day but i have read several posts that show almost everyone feeling the same way for the first 3 or 4 days.
Drinking lots of water never hurts, and i dont think it can drain any viatmins/minerals etc out of your body. Well the excess maybe but not the stuff you need.
Two days ago i was eating pasta, apple pie, coffee with milk and sugar, choclate cake and now i am eating salads and salmon !! So yeah i think the body gets a shock and maybe misses the sugar ? I dont really know but I know that in one or maximum two more days you should feel great !

Just please dont give up !

you said you drank a lot of water this morning, but how much are you drinking overall? It sure sounds to me like you are dehydrated. That real dry mouth and then drinking that much without going does not sound quite right. I drink huge amounts but I go a lot too. If you are not drinking enough on a regular basis, I would up the waterand try to drink it evenly spaced throughout the day. I even keep a glass on my bed table and take asip if I wake up at night. Good luck!

        Losetocruise,twinkie 30 and Sunnylive,

This is my six day in induction, so you know that I'm not an expert, but I can share that the first 3 1/2 days are murder. I had no energy, headache every waking moment, craved sweets as if I was a junkie, lol and just felt bad. I was thinking that I just couldn't live this way if I wasn't going to feel physically better....the diet was just not worth it.

By the 4th day I was in full swing and feeling really good. Being a big big fan of sweets, and loving carbs in general, I'm sure my body had a difficult time adjusting to cold turkey! lol.

While I still think about sweets and miss them terribly, I have loss 4lbs in 5 days and I am exercising now twice a day.....to help this process! You do feel better and when you start noticing the weight loss, it will motivate you. It is amazing to me, this diet works and results are quick in comparison to other diets ive been on.

Hang in there, in a couple of days, you'll feel better.
