  • Waist Watcher Soda - Yes Or No During Induction?

I have been drinking a soda called Waist Watcher made with Splenda. I was a heavy Coca-Cola drinker before, addicted in fact. I thought it would help in this transition and it has to some degree. I'm thinking now, though, that it's not worth it.

I gained a pound and I'm thinking it's the culprit. Should I stop drinking it during induction?

I would stop the soda even though it is made with Splenda. We are allowed 3 servings of Splenda a day. How many sodas are you drinking a day.The carbonation causes problems for many people. Replace your soda with water which is going to help flush out the toxins in your body. Your kidneys will love you for it. How much water are you drinking a day? Just my thoughts!!

    Good luck!

I don't drink too-too much of it. 1-2 8oz. Glasses a day. I do drink lots of water though. Evidenced by how much I have to run to the bathroom. Hee-hee.

Well I always like to say "When in doubt throw it out".

Splenda can be a staller for some people.

I like to have a diet rite every now and then (no caffeine, sweetened with splenda), but not very often. I was a HUGE coca-cola, mountain dew, any other carbonated soda pop you can think of, before I started Atkins. It's been almost a month now since I've had them. I consider myself over the addiction because I used to need to drink them everyday (5-6 cans a day if not more) now I don't. If I'm having a Diet Rite it's just once a week or less. I would say get rid of the soda pop completely to kick your soda addiction, then once you're over the addiction maybe start working the non-caffeine sweetened with Splenda sodas, and don't have them everyday; just have them sparingly otherwise you'll become and addict again. Just my humble opinion.

It's always best to stick with water. However, weight fluctuates so often that you shouldn't sweat one pound. I would lose the soda and not weigh until the end of your induction.

I decided to cut it out for now. I think it best for me. Water all the way!
