I read this on aol today and thought it might help. It's so true, the longer you eat healthy and keep with an exercise routine the easier this gets!

"It takes 14 to 21 days of repetitive behavior to form a new pattern in your brain. Once the pattern is formed, it becomes an automatic behavioral response. As you develop new healthy habits, they will begin to replace bad habits. These healthy lifelong habits are adapted straight from the time-tested traditions practiced by centenarians all around the world, and I can say with certainty that they will transform and rejuvenate you!"

Thank you for that! I'm counting on that in this new way of life for me. I'm hoping it all gets easier and I don't have to struggle so much. I'm really looking forward to that. New, good, healthy habits. I look at your pics and I feel so inspired. Thank you again.

      Re: Motivation

Thanks so much for the motivation....we all are working hard to achieve weight loss!

I have learned to eat so much more healthier and am much more knowledgable about sugar/carbs! The Atkins diet has changed the way I will eat from hear on out. I never, ever made shrimp salad (which I love now), I always bought it from the deli and was at their mercy of the calorie and carb intake. My mom always made salmon croquettes, never did I. I am much heathier and feel better than I have for a while.

It is amazing to me that I have been able to take off 6.5 lbs in 8 days. I hear people say that the older you get the harder it is to lose weight....or once you've had kids, you never quite shed the baby weight. I use to listen to that to justify the extra weight I carried, but was never quite happy with how I started looking.

While I have another 15 pounds to go, I've really have dedicated myself to the Atkins diet and once I acheive my goal I will never allow myself into this position again.

      Thanks all,
      Rose
