  • 11th day on Induction and i can't eat,help please!!

    Hi there everyone!
I am on day 11 of Atkins,it has gone pretty well except days 2 and 3 when i was ill with it...then great.

Now....on day 11 i am not hungry, i have to force myself to eat anything, then i feel sick.
When i don't eat i get pains in my stomach, just don't know what to do, but one thing i do know, there is no way i am giving up.

One more thing if someone can help me, "What is Cream Cheese,is it the same as Soft cheese, where can i find it in the UK" ?

    Thank you all so much
    Danielle

I know how you feel, as I have felt that way myself. I drink plenty of water when I feel my stomach "shrinking." I don't know if it's actually doing that or not, but it sure feels like it to me. Please hang in there and nibble a bit on something. Maybe if you eat just a little bit at a time, it will be easier on your stomach.

Cream Cheese is a white spreadable cheese.

    Here's more information:

Cream cheese is a sweet, soft, mild-tasting, white cheese, defined by the US Department of Agriculture as containing at least 33% milkfat (as marketed) with a moisture content of not more than 55%, and a pH range of 4.4 to 4.9.[1]

Cream cheese is not naturally matured and is meant to be consumed fresh, and so it differs from other soft cheeses such as Euope's Brie and Neufchâtel. More comparable in taste, texture, and production methods are Boursin and Mascarpone.

Cream cheese originated in the United States in 1872 when a dairyman in Chester, New York, developed a 'richer cheese than ever before,' made from cream as well as whole milk. Then in 1880, a New York cheese distributor, A. L. Reynolds, first began distributing cream cheese wrapped in tin-foil wrappers, calling it Philadelphia Brand....The name "Philadelphia Brand cream cheese" was adopted by Reynolds for the product because at that time, top-quality food products often originated in or were associated with the city, and were often referred to as being "Philadelphia quality."

Philadelphia Cream Cheese is the original and most popular by far.

    I hope this helps!

You're welcome. I'm on my 9th day and I know what you mean about the boredom with the foods setting in. I'm not brave enough to try any of the goodies that contain Splenda, as I fear being stalled almost more than anything.

I think it is important for everyone following Atkins that this way of life is more than just the food. Make sure you exercise daily and be aware of when you are hungry. Lots of us got to this point because we didn't understand feelings of fullness or hunger. The lesson I learned is that we eat for fuel.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
