  • Cheese and Induction ???'s

Okay need some clarification please. Can I eat Philadelphia Cream Cheese? Also what brand of Cheddar and Mozzarella are you buying? Are you buying from the grocery store or a health food store? Just curious if Kraft is okay? Last question are you eating STRING cheese?

    Thanks.

    Cream cheese is okay.

Read the labels: make sure you are eating a full fat cheese (no low fat, imitation---CheezWhiz or Velveeta, etc.)

Shredded cheese tends to have cornstarch added to the shreds to prevent them from sticking to each other. So it's better to buy a block of cheese and shred it yourself.

If you shred cheese yourself it tastes sooo much better than the pre-shredded stuff. I do eat string cheese but I don't think it really is allowed, I'm not positive though. I only eat it in emergencies.

        Megs...

Holy moly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no clue about the shredded cheese and cornstarch. I won't be buying anymore. I do prefer fresh shredded over bagged anyway, it was just a timesaver for me. Thanks for the heads up!

I purchase whatever cheese is on sale that week. So long as it's real, (I trust cows more than I trust chemists). Me favorite though is swiss. God Bless, Joe
