Re: Diary of a finally doing it right member

Hi just wanted to say keep up the good work. It is a lot of energy to use just to get the basics down pat. I had to go back to reg coffee too. I only need my morning cup. But I need that boost for now! I don't know where I found the recipes on this site, but the mock danish, the one cup muffin(made with flax) and the tuna green bake are all very good to try. Although instead of tuna I use Chicken breast.
      Check it out and enjoy.

It is 6 o'clock here and i just finished dinner, induction friendly taco salad.
I had a good day, not near as hungry as i have been by this time at night. I think not only was i going through carb withdrawal, i was also having TOM related issues. Glad to be over that hump.
Looking forward to the next couple of days...

Day 8 and dont like my weight.

Not too worried about it though, just letting TOM do its business and we will see what happens in a few days.

most everyone looses so much on induction, i have only lost a measly lb or two. I do wonder though, because i have less to loose, maybe i wont loose as much or as quickly.

I can tell you this too. I sure like how much more clear headed i am.
            Off to a busy day,

Re: Diary of a finally doing it right member

Jeannie, an 'average' loss over the first 14 days on induction is said to be between 5% and 10% of the total amount of weight you want to lose. So depending on your goal loss you will be able to see after 14 days how metabolically resistant you are to weightloss and use that knowledge to help you plan your Atkins journey.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                Day 8 and feeling great

Elizellen, thanks for the info, based on that i really should only loose like a pound or two... so i am doing great. It will be interesting to see how metabolically resistant i am when i get to owl.

I am a little over half way though induction, i have lost 3.5 lbs, i am thinking more clearly, i have more energy, i am sleeping better, i feel in control of what i am eating... ok, so i dont get pretzels, im ok with the trade off. its SOO worth it to me.

                will write more later...

                  Day 9 and feeling fine.

It is the weekend, tough to stay on track, but i am. Dont have much time to write, running kids places all weekend. But it is beatiful here in chicago and it makes everything seem easier.

Day 10, and glad its not the weekend.

I dont like the weekends, all heck breaks loose. I feel... i dont know out of control. But with that said, atkins is the first program that i feel ok about my eating.. i guess i am afraid i will mess up on the weekends, and trust me their were a few times i wanted to grab some chips, candy, etc. Maybe as time goes on i will feel more confident in myself, idk. During the week i put all my food into fitday, but on the weekends i dont have time, nor is the computer available.. 2 teens and a 9 year old!! I am a little nervous about summer. Better make a plan!!

                    (later in the day)
woah, big breakthrough today, didnt eat lunch until 1:30 and was barely hungry then. happy dance happy dance happy dance. I love it when i am NOT driven by HUNGER.

We all get extra hungry days, but as long as you eat to your appetite and only eat 'legal' foods you should be fine.
Sometimes I feel I could eat the whole fridge-full and others I have to remember to eat after 5 or so hours. Bodies are weird

                        BTW
I popped over to the old board and found these posts in your old thread that were not transferred over here.
day 11 and not feeling like i am in heaven

I know it shouldnt be all about my weight, and i know i feel way better than i have in a while, but i got on the scale this am and i have been stuck at 123.5 for days now (need to change my siggy) Little frustrated

rereading yesterdays post made me feel a bit better, but still !!

yeah, i get into looking at the scale every day... oddly a habit I didn't have when I was putting the weight on.

You are right - when we are not trying to lose weight we dont realise how our weight fluctuates down and up throughout the week!

If you find that the scales can affect your day too much then try not to weigh daily
